Molecule Glycolic acid polymer.
Type of thread Braided absorbable synthetic suture (monofilament in gauges: USP 10/0-9/0; EP 0.2-0.3) and coated.
Color Viola (D&C Viola – Violet – Violeta n.2=C.I. 60725) or uncoloured.
Standard diameters and needles EP diameters from 0.2 to 7; USP diameters from 10/0 to 5; The Assufil is assembled with atraumatic needles in AISI 300 or AISI 400 stainless steel; they can also be of the “controlled detachment” type to allow the needle to be detached with a simple movement of the needle holder.
Tensile Strength After 7 days from implantation ~ 90% of the tensile strength remains, after 14 days ~ 75% of the tensile strength, after 21 days ~ 50% of the tensile strength, after 28 days ~ 30% of the tensile strength.</td >
