Long absorbing synthetic monofilament suture.

Violet (D&C Violet # 2 = C.I. 60725) or undyed.

Standard diameters and needles

EP diameters from 0.5 to 5; USP 7/0 to 2; Atraumatic needles in AISI 300 or AISI 400 stainless steel are assembled on the monofilament assufil; they can also be of the “controlled detachment” type to allow the detachment of the needle with a simple movement of the needle holder.

Tensile strength

After 28 days ~ 70-75% of the tensile strength, after 42 days ~ 55-60% of the tensile strength.

Absorption

Complete within 180-210 days of implantation

In general, thoracic, orthopedic surgery and / or whenever a long-absorbing surgical suture is required.
