A very common complication following laparotomy (a surgical technique that involves large scars on the abdomen) is incisional hernia, a type of hernia that occurs in large scars resulting from open abdominal surgery.
There are many obstacles to overcome in the case of complex incisional hernia.
The innovative Fascial Traction System for complex abdominal wall surgery significantly reduces surgical aggressiveness.
The system includes a special retractor to be used in combination with trocars, sutures and an abdominal mesh fixed with our Filbloc barbed suture.
